UnityPoint Health – Des Moines plans to establish a LifeFlight base in Fort Dodge to serve Trinity Regional Medical Center and north-central Iowa. For several decades, LifeFlight has provided air ambulance services from Trinity to Des Moines for critically ill or injured patients needing a higher level of care. The expansion will provide service to other medical facilities in the area, too. The program will add eight full-time employees to the area. The positions open are for the following: pilots, nurses, paramedics and an aircraft mechanic.
