Sixth Avenue corridor improvements topic of public meeting today
The city of Des Moines will host a public meeting from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at 1600 Sixth Ave. to discuss redevelopment plans for the Sixth Avenue corridor from Interstate 235 north to the Des Moines River. The project has received a $250,000 challenge grant from the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs for streetscape improvements. To read a related story from last year about the effort, click here.
