University of Iowa to offer three-year bachelor’s degree
The University of Iowa plans to offer a three-year bachelor’s degree program beginning with this fall’s incoming students as an option to cut costs and to save time. President Sally Mason announced the first majors available under the program will be communication studies, English, history, international studies, marketing, and theater arts. Others may be added later. Simpson College has offered a similar program, “SC in 3,” for about four years. That program allows high school students admitted with at least 24 college credits to finish a degree in three years. Read more
