JHCI Holdings Inc., parent of the Jacobson Cos., has acquired Chimerica Global Logistics Ltd. (CGL), a logistics service company based in Hong Kong with subsidiary operations in mainland China as part of the Des Moines-based company’s expansion of its international logistics capabilities. Earlier this month, Jacobson announced the formation of an international operations business entity, Jacobson Global Logistics Ltd. (JGL), which is registered in Hong Kong. CGL will be integrated into JGL, which will provide logistics services to and from the United States and within Asia. “China is a core market in our Asia development plans,” said Brian Lutt, president and CEO of JHCI and Jacobson Cos., in a news release.
