A federal grand jury indicted five people on mortgage fraud charges in a case led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Iowa attorney general and the Iowa Division of Banking.

Jason Kibbee, 37, of Kellogg, was charged with one count of wire fraud and one count of making a false statement to a financial institution. Also charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud were Lane Anderson, 37, of Altoona; David Mable, 46, of Urbandale; Shannon Flickiner, 42, of Earlham; and Paul Kramer, 41, of Granger.

The indictments follow the formation in December of the Iowa Mortgage Fraud Working Group to fight against mortgage fraud in the Southern District of Iowa.
