Bass Pro accused of discrimination in hiring
A government lawsuit filed yesterday claims that Bass Pro Shops discriminate in hiring practices, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a suit that alleges that Bass Pro managers repeatedly refused to hire non-white workers as clerks, cashiers or managers, and used discriminatory language to explain their reasoning. The commission filed the suit in federal district court in Houston.
Bass Pro denied the allegations and accused the agency of prejudice against outdoorsmen. To read the full story, click here.
