Sales of new houses fall to six-month low
New single-family home sales in the United States fell in August to a six-month low, Reuters reported after the release today of a government report. Sales slipped 2.3 percent to a seasonally adjusted 295,000-unit annual rate, Reuters said, citing a report from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The median price of sales slipped 8.7 percent from July.
