Variety grant to Food Bank
The Food Bank of Iowa has received a $35,000 grant from Variety – The Children’s Charity.
This grant will directly affect the organization’s Backpack Buddies program, which provides more than 1,500 elementary-age children with nonperishable food items on weekends and during school breaks when they do not have access to the federal free and reduced-price meal program.
