Hubbell Realty Co. is moving dirt and laying footers for a 110,000-square-foot warehouse in Grimes. Broker Morey Knutsen said a national distribution company has signed a lease for 50,000 square feet in the facility, which is slated to open June 1 in what is called the Grimes Distribution Center at 1350 S.E. Gateway Drive. One building has been completed at the center and is leased. Plans call for a total of four buildings, and Knutsen said it is possible that construction could begin next spring on another building.
