The First Tee will carry on the annual Skywalk Golf fundraising event in 2013 as the event’s sole producer and beneficiary of the funds raised, the organization announced. “The event just made sense for The First Tee,” said Luke Garnaas, board president for the local chapter of the international youth development organization, which introduces youths to golf. Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino will be the 2013 title sponsor, and the Feb. 2 event has been renamed The First Tee of Greater Des Moines Skywalk Golf Classic, presented by Prairie Meadows.  For more information and to register, go to www.skywalkgolf.com.
