EMC Insurance Cos. has completed the purchase of the Kaleidoscope at the Hub, the Des Moines insurer announced Monday. The building spans two blocks on Walnut Street from Fifth Avenue to Seventh Street in downtown Des Moines.  The acquisition follows the company’s purchase of the Hub Tower two years ago. “Purchasing the Kaleidoscope stabilizes our investment in the Hub Tower and enlarges our footprint adjacent to the EMC campus,” said Robert Link, EMC’s senior vice president of administration, in a release. The company has been successful in getting new tenants and is working with current and potential tenants to upgrade the property, Link said. To read a related Business Record story, click here.
