Urbandale P&Z approves 17,400 square feet of light industry space
The Urbandale Planning and Zoning Commission approved two site plans at its meeting April 14.
Three 5,800-square-foot buildings could be added at 3197 and 3051 99th St. pending approval from the City Council.
Each building could be divided into four 1,450-square-foot bays. Mark Anderson, president of Anderson Properties, which is constructing the three storage buildings, said three companies are interested in the spaces, and his own company will be housed in one as well.
The $700,000 project should break ground within the next 30 to 60 days. “We had the growing need over time to simply have more storage space,” he said. “Our current office buildings are a bit too large and these spaces will allow us to get those clients that want a smaller space.”
