Clive has a new logo and slogan

“Clive, Distinct by Nature” has won city council approval and a nod from a citizens’ panel that has worked for several months to develop a brand that included a slogan and new logo.
The logo features a landscape of trees and green and blue lines that suggest the city’s trails and streams. It’s all part of an effort to craft the Clive of the future, an effort that includes a dramatic overhaul of Northwest 86th Street.
An advisory panel worked with Innova Ideas and Services, Des Moines, and Lincoln Strategies Group, West Des Moines, to develop the logo and slogan.
The panel decided that the city’s old logo did not represent the city’s growth and culture.
“This is symbolic of our wish to be forward-thinking in improving the city’s infrastructure and remaining committed to environmental stewardship,” Mayor Les Aasheim said in a news release.
Expect to see the first applications for the new logo on signs for the Northwest 86th Street corridor revitalization project. The brand also will make a phased appearance on city properties and stationery.
