Moving day continues for some Polk County workers, who began moving the first of seven offices to their new location, Polk Country River Place, located at 2309 Euclid Ave. The 144,000-square-foot building, which used to be a Target retail store, will house 350 workers and serve 40-50 clients per hour.

The new location is the largest office building Polk County government has ever occupied, and additions will be made to the west end of the property. Approximately 14,000 square feet of expansion will be planned beginning this summer.

The new building will house the Juvenile Court Services, Sheriff Administration/Civil, Department of Human Services, Veterans Affairs, Crisis and Advocacy Services, Family Enrichment Center, and Supplemental Foods.
