Mary Vermeer Andringa, president and CEO of Pella-based Vermeer Corp., and Suku Radia, president and CEO of Bankers Trust Co., will be inducted into the Iowa Business Hall of Fame at the Greater Des Moines Committee’s annual Black Tie dinner on Dec. 9. Andringa and Radia will be honored for their outstanding leadership and contributions to business and community development in Iowa. Andringa was instrumental in launching the Vermeer Continuous Improvement “Lean” program in the late 1990s, and led the creation of Vermeer University, devoted to employee and equipment dealer development. Radia has influenced the financial success of many of Iowa’s largest businesses. Prior to becoming president and CEO of Bankers Trust in 2008, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Meredith Corp.
