Arts festival deadline for nonprofits to apply for free booth space today  

Applications from nonprofit organizations to participate in the Prairie Meadows Community Outreach Program at the 2012 Des Moines Arts Festival are due today. The 2012 festival is June 22-24 in downtown Des Moines’ Western Gateway Park. The Prairie Meadows Community Outreach Program gives nonprofit groups the chance to participate on-site at the festival free of charge. In exchange for their free promotional space, each organization either offers an interactive arts activity for guests or provides volunteers for the festival. Up to 22 organizations are featured in the Prairie Meadows Community Outreach Program. Details and applications can be downloaded here.
