Casey’s picks up QuikTrip properties in Missouri
Ankeny-based Casey’s General Stores Inc. has signed a purchase agreement to acquire five QuikTrip Corp. convenience stores in the Springfield, Mo., metropolitan area. “These stores have been well maintained and are high-volume locations that will be a perfect fit for our proprietary prepared food program,” Casey’s President Robert Myers said in a press release. The cash transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of Casey’s fiscal 2012 year. QuikTrip is based in Tulsa, Okla.
