Celebrate Small Business Saturday
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) wants Iowans to make a trip to a small business the day after Black Friday and make a purchase or two in celebration of Small Business Saturday, which American Express Co. started last year.
The latest state-by-state small business profiles shows that small businesses make up 97 percent of all of Iowa’s employers and provide 51 percent of all private-sector jobs. However, an NFIB survey shows that the No. 1 problem that small businesses face is poor sales.
