Mobile gaming revenues expected to triple in five years
Mobile gaming is rapidly increasing, Mobile Commerce Daily reported.
A recent study by ABI Research said mobile gaming is expected to exceed $16 billion in revenues by 2016, compared with expected revenues of less than $5 billion this year. ABI found that mobile games appeal to a larger number of consumers because of the leisure habits of mobile users.
More than 50 percent of study participants under the age of 40 played games on their phones, as did 20 percent of consumers over 40.
