Construction added jobs in Greater Des Moines
Greater Des Moines added 1,100 construction jobs in the year ending in October, making it one of 140 metropolitan areas in the country to see an increase in construction hiring. The Davenport-Rock Island, Ill.-Moline, Ill. area also added 1,100 jobs. Cedar Rapids gained 100 jobs, according to a report from the Associated General Contractors of America, a construction trade organization. The group said 146 metropolitan areas shed construction jobs over the year and 51 showed no change.
