Economy is high stressor, index says
Half of retirees (52 percent) and two out of five workers (42 percent) reported a high stress level with regard to the economy, according to Principal Financial Group Inc.’s Financial Well-Being Index released earlier this week. A total of 30 percent of retirees and 34 percent of workers said personal finances caused high stress, though fewer than a third of workers say their job causes stress. The quarterly index, conducted by Harris Interactive, surveys workers at growing businesses with 10 to 1,000 workers and retired Americans.
