Planned Parenthood book sale sets record
Planned Parenthood of the Heartland’s fall book sale raised a record $232,707.11, nearly $15,000 more than last year, the organization announced yesterday.
More than 500,000 new and used books, magazines, puzzles, collectibles and other items were sold at the five-day event, which attracted more than 8,000 shoppers. Money raised goes toward Planned Parenthood’s education and outreach programs throughout Iowa and Nebraska.
The spring book sale is April 19 through April 23.
