Meredith CEO Lacy receives $6 million in total compensation
Meredith Corp. CEO Steve Lacy received total compensation of $6 million in the fiscal year that ended June 30, according to the Des Moines-based communication company’s proxy statement. The figure represents a decrease of about $1 million from the previous year.
Lacy’s current employment agreement runs through June 30, 2013, and is subject to automatic renewal for one-year terms after that.
Total compensation includes stock awards and option awards. Here are the numbers for the other top executives: Chief Financial Officer Joseph Ceryanec, $2 million; national media President Thomas Harty, $2.8 million; local media President Paul Karpowicz, $2.8 million; and Chief Development Officer John Zieser, $2.5 million.
The eight non-employee members of the Meredith board of directors received total compensation ranging from $195,448 to $221,109.
The company’s annual shareholders meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Nov. 9 at 1716 Locust St. in Des Moines.
