DOT to host meetings for passenger rail study
The Iowa Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Federal Railroad Administration and the Illinois Department of Transportation, will host in-person and online open house meetings in early May to discuss the Chicago to Omaha Regional Passenger Rail System Planning Study.
An in-person meeting in Des Moines will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 at the State Historical Society Building Atrium, 600 E. Locust St.
The online, self-directed meeting and route analysis report will be available from May 1 through May 12 on the study’s website, www.iowadot.gov/chicagotoomaha/.
