‘Raucous Before the Caucus’ set for New Year’s Eve
Local partners and businesses have come together to host “Raucous Before the Caucus,” a pre-caucus party for the media on Dec. 31. The private event, open only to credentialed media members and sponsors, will be the first national event to be held in the new World Food Prize – Hall of Laureates building in Des Moines. The 2008 event drew more than 500 guests when it was hosted at The Temple for Performing Arts. Entertainment will be provided by local band Flipside, with food and beverage samplings provided by Hy-Vee Inc., the Iowa Pork Producers, Templeton Rye and highlights from Bacon Fest.The event is organized by a nonpartisan volunteer committee and is sponsored by a number of Greater Des Moines businesses.
