Department of Human Services awards $1.3 million in abuse prevention grants
The Iowa Department of Human Services will award a total of $1.3 million in grants to more than 100 community-based child abuse prevention programs.
The grants will be administered by Prevent Child Abuse Iowa. The Child Abuse Prevention Council in Polk County received three grants totaling $21,686; the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Warren County received three grants totaling $45,659; and Dallas County Children’s Advocacy Council received one grant for $37,378.
