Artists cooperative planned for Whittier School building
The Whittier Project LLC paid $40,000 to Boys Club of Des Moines Inc. for its former headquarters, once the Whittier School, at 1350 E. Washington Ave., Des Moines. The 112-year-old building will be used to house an artists cooperative. Jesse Bunney of CBRE Hubbell Commercial represented the seller and Rick Herron of Re/Max Real Estate Concepts represented the buyer.
