Flying this weekend? Triathlons may detour you
Des Moines International Airport officials are reminding people that Fleur Drive southbound will be closed from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday for the Iron Kids Championship and Sunday from 4 a.m. to noon for the Hy-Vee Triathlon. The detour for those going south off of Interstate 235 will be Ingersoll Avenue to 17th Street, to Locust Street, to Seventh Street, to Bell Avenue to Fleur Drive, said Airport General Manager Kevin Foley. The detour will be marked.
