Americans’ love for their tablets knows no bounds, reports Cromwell Schubarth, senior technology reporter for the San Jose Business Journal, in the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Schubarth summarized the results of two surveys: the latest American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) on electronics and a survey by online presentation tech provider Brainshark. Here are the findings he points out:

* Users gave their tablets an ASCI satisfaction rating of 80, the highest ever for PCs.
* Apple led all others in the group on customer satisfaction, with a rating of 86, compared with 81 for Dell, the closest competitor. Hewlett-Packard was tied for third with Acer, both having a rating of 79.
* Forty-seven percent of those who responded to the Brainshark poll said they expect their iPad to be their primary computing device within two years.
* More than a third of iPad owners have used their device while naked.
* Thirteen percent would choose the Apple device over their significant other if stranded on a deserted island.
* Employees would take an iPad over: a dedicated parking space (68 percent); a laptop (65 percent); a bigger, better office (47 percent); an extra week off (23 percent); or a 10 percent pay raise (14 percent).
