Gov. Terry Branstad has asked Iowans to honor victims in the Newtown, Conn., school shooting with a moment of silence on Friday at 9:30 a.m. The moment of silence comes at the request of Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy, who sent a letter to the governors of the other 49 states with the same request.
