Vision Iowa grants Fort Madison $766,000
The Vision Iowa Board approved a grant yesterday to help fund a new sports complex in Fort Madison.
At the board’s meeting, Vision Iowa granted $766,000 to The Fort Madison Sports Complex Committe, in conjunction with Fort Madison Partners, from the Community Attraction and Tourism Fund.
To receive the grant, the agreement is contingent on the group
completing fundraising within 90 days and securing $25,000 from Lee County.
The total cost of the facility is $3.3 million. The complex, to be located on the west end of Fort Madison, will include three soccer fields and three multi-use ball fields.
