Following in the footsteps of Des Moines charities 100+ Chicks for Charity and 100+ Women Who Care, young male professionals will now have their own group for donating money to Des Moines-based nonprofits.

The new organization, 100+ Dudes Who Donate, will hold its first meeting at 5 p.m. tomorrow at the atrium of the Kirkwood Building, 400 Walnut St. The group’s goal is to create a culture where more than 100 men get together on a quarterly basis to donate $50 each to a charity of the group’s choice.

Each member will be allowed to submit his name and the name of a Des Moines charity at each meeting. Three charities will be pulled at random and the members who nominated them will have five minutes to present the case for his charity. For more information,click here.
