Gannon, a frequent ribbon winner in Iowa State Fair cooking contests, called the recipe “How to Win a Guy With One Sip.” She became a finalist in the company’s Red Cup Showdown by winning a preliminary round at the Iowa State Fair with celebrity chef Jeff Mauro. 

That entitled her to travel to New York City on Wednesday to compete to be the national winner. In promoting her recipe, Gannon told The Des Moines Registerthat a scientific study found that the scent of pumpkin pie (she uses pumpkin pie spice in her recipe) increased romantic desire in men.
