Des Moines Social Club gets another $150,000
The Fred and Charlotte Hubbell Foundation donated $150,000 to the Des Moines Social Club’s capital campaign to renovate the downtown firehouse.
The nonprofit arts organization is raising funds to renovate and move into Fire Station No. 1. Plans for the space include a theater, art gallery, classrooms, shared nonprofit office space, bar and restaurant and coffeehouse.
