Indianola joins Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau
Indianola has become the 13th municipality to join the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB).
The Indianola City Council voted to join the GDMCVB on Oct.15 and the tourism organization’s board of directors accepted the request Wednesday night.
Indianola will begin hotel/motel tax payments in November, which will gradually increase over the next two years until the community is fully invested as a 28E partner of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau.
As of July 2014, or earlier, Indianola will be a voting member of the organization.
