Report: Broadband is good for business
A report released by Connect Iowa says that Iowa small businesses with broadband make $200,000 more annual revenue on average than those that are not connected.
The report said that 72 percent of small businesses – defined as having less than 20 employees – in the state subscribe to broadband for business operations.
The report found that while there isn’t much discrepancy between rural and non-rural businesses; however it noted that 50 percent of Iowa small businesses do not have a website.
