San Jose mayor to speak on pension reform Friday
San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed will be the featured speaker at a Friday luncheon event sponsored by the Taxpayers Association of Central Iowa. The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Embassy Club, 666 Grand Ave., 34th Floor. The Democratic mayor attained national prominence for leading police and fire pension reform in California’s third-largest city. Tickets to the luncheon are $35 and reservations can be made here.
