STEM efforts show results at Iowa universities
The number of women seeking degrees in science and related fields at Iowa’s three public universities rose by 13 percent over the past three years, the Des Moines Register reported.
University officials credited outreach efforts directed toward girls well before they reach high school, as well as state and national efforts to increase the number of young people going into science, technology, engineering and math fields.
