Promoters of the fourth annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival presented by Beggin’ Strips announced yesterday that tickets will go on sale Jan. 21. Live music, a commemorative T-shirt, unlimited bacon samples and a free drink ticket are included in the $40 ticket price for the main event, which is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 26 in Capital Square downtown. A $125 entry fee entitles bacon lovers access to the festival and to the Bacon Elegance Dinner on Feb. 22. Last year, the Bacon Festival attracted 750 people, who consumed a total of 1,200 pounds of bacon. Tickets to this year’s festival, which is being sponsored by Nestlé Purina PetCare, may be purchased at www.blueribbonbaconfestival.com.
