Leadership Institute to remodel school auditorium
The 2011 class of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute has announced Project Encore, an all-volunteer effort to renovate the Amos Hiatt Middle School auditorium. Constructed in 1924, the auditorium has become dilapidated and is in need of repair. The institute will kick off the initiative at 5 p.m. on March 8 with a ceremony at the school, which is located at 1214 E. 15th St. in Des Moines.
