The Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines has selected Ironwood Plat 5 in Altoona as the site for its annual HomeShowExpo, to be held July 22-31. It’s the first time in the event’s 36-year history that Altoona has been selected to host the home show, said Justin Washburn, head of business development and marketing for Vista Real Estate and Investment Corp., Ironwood’s developer. The development, located just south of the intersection of Eighth Street Southwest and First Avenue South, will feature homes ranging from $325,000 to $600,000.
