The Iowa Heart Center at Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines announced that it will participate in a clinical trial of a new non-surgical heart-valve replacement procedure to evaluate a non-invasive alternative to open-heart surgery. Iowa Heart Center is one of 40 sites in the United States and the only Iowa center chosen to participate in the Medtronic CoreValve clinical trial.
