FCC adopts controversial wireless roaming rules

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted new rules that will require wireless service providers such as AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless to negotiate wireless data roaming deals with competitors. The FCC voted along party lines in a controversial decision made at its monthly public meeting, with three Democrats voting in favor of the measure and two Republicans voting against the new rules.
