Martha Willits, president and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, received the Community Leadership Award from Drake University for her contributions to the university and the Des Moines business community. Charlie Edwards, dean of Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration, presented the award to Willits during the college’s annual awards ceremony on April 6. Willits, who received a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Drake, joined the Partnership in 2004. The award is designed to recognize an individual who has made an impact on the community through his or her business and individual generosity.
