Gov. Terry Branstad will give the keynote address, and other elected officials and members of boards and commissions will speak at tonight’s public service academy hosted by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Partnership Building, 700 Locust St. The academy is geared toward people who want to learn more about running for public office or serving on a public board or commission.

The event is $10 for Partnership and affiliate chamber members, Leadership Institute dues-paying alumni and Young Professionals Connection members, and $20 for others. To register, click here.
