Office rents are expected to rise modestly through the remainder of 2011.

Office rents are expected to rise modestly through the remainder of 2011, Bloomberg reported. Based on a recent report by CB Richard Ellis Group Inc., Bloomberg said minimal construction of new office space, especially in Europe and the Americas, is fueling the increases. An index of global office values jumped 12 percent in the first quarter. A year ago, the rent index rose only 4.3 percent, CB Richard Ellis said.
