YMCA set to open Supportive Housing Campus
The YMCA of Greater Des Moines is preparing to open its new YMCA Supportive Housing Campus at 2 S.W. Ninth St.
The campus is part of YMCA’s Supportive Housing Program, designed to combat homelessness by finding residents permanent housing and helping them get established in the community while living on the campus.
The program will provide one-on-one case management services for people who are homeless across the state. The first residents are scheduled to begin moving in next week.
