Rotary Club names award winners
The Rotary Club of Des Moines last week recognized its Rotarian of the Year and Lifetime Achievement award-winners.
Andy Flynn of Flynn Wright received the Rotarian of the Year award, recognized for the work his firm has donated for the Rotary Club’s centennial year celebrations and fund-raising.
Kurt Johnson was given the Lifetime Service Award. Johnson has been a member for 28 years without missing a meeting, the club said, and has served on the board of directors twice.
Also last week, the club welcomed new president DeAnn Thompson to replace Skeet Wootten.
