Iowa Transportation Commission approves funds for aviation program
The Iowa Transportation Commission yesterday approved nearly $5.3 million for the fiscal year 2012 State Aviation Program.
About $3 million of that will be used for aviation safety programs, as well as planning and development programs. About $2.3 million will be used for projects at airports around the state, including $562,349 to Des Moines International Airport. The State Aviation Program is part of the Iowa Department of Transportation.
