EdgeBCC, a subsidiary of LightEdge Solutions Inc., has secured financing to double the size of its data center space in Altoona, as demand for cloud computing increases. EdgeBCC obtained a loan from U.S. Bank and $16 million of private equity from Anschutz Investment Co., the parent company of LightEdge Solutions, to expand its data center on 2.6 acres near the intersection of Interstates 80 and 35. Construction is expected to begin in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
